About Founder Nancy Twine
Nancy Twine left her career as a VP at Goldman Sachs to follow her passion for clean beauty. Inspired by the natural hair products her mom created, she launched Briogeo in 2013 and grew it from a small, bootstrapped startup into a globally celebrated brand. At 29, she became the youngest Black woman to launch a product line at Sephora and one of the few beauty founders to raise over $20M in private equity funding. Less than 10 years after she launched, Nancy sold Briogeo to Wella Company for nine-figures.
Nancy founded Makers Mindset to inspire and guide the next generation of entrepreneurs. She passionately believes that sustainable success isn’t just about strategy and drive. Your mindset—your resilience, focus, and optimism—are just as important. Wellness, personal finance, work, travel, and relationships also matter for your mindset, and they’re often interconnected. At Makers Mindset, you’ll find support for the whole journey.
