By applying to The Makers Mindset Workshop, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
APPLICATION & SELECTION PROCESS
- All applicants must submit the official online application by March 31, 2025, at 11:59 PM PST to be considered.
- Limit one entry per business.
- Applications will be reviewed based on eligibility and alignment with the program’s goals.
- Selected participants will be notified via email by April 11, 2025. If a selected applicant does not confirm their participation within 48 hours, their spot may be forfeited.
- The Makers Mindset Workshop reserves the right to disqualify any applicant who provides false or misleading information in their application.
- Any participant engaging in harassment, inappropriate conduct, or violations of program guidelines may be removed at the discretion of the organizers.
ELIGIBILITY
- Your business must be legally registered in the United States and operate in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry, or you must be actively working toward launching a CPG brand.
- You must be at least 18 years old at the time of submission.
- You must be available to attend the orientation, all eight (8) virtual workshop sessions, as well as the Pitch the Panel Session as listed below to remain eligible for grant funding.
- Orientation: April 15, 2025 at 1-2pm ET
- Session 1: April 22, 2025 at 1-2pm ET
- Session 2 : April 24, 2025 at 1-2pm ET
- Session 3: April 29, 2025 at 1-2pm ET
- Session 4: May 1, 2025 at 1-2pm ET
- Session 5: May 6, 2025 at 1-2pm ET
- Session 6: May 8, 2025 at 1-2pm ET
- Session 7: May 13, 2025 at 1-2pm ET
- Session 8: May 15, 2025 at 3-4pm ET
- Pitch the Panel Session: May 29, 2025 from 12pm-3:30pm ET
- Employees of Twine Media, participating instructors, and their immediate family members are not eligible to apply.
PARTICIPATION
- The Makers Mindset Workshop is a free educational program designed to provide mentorship, strategic insights, and business guidance.
- Participants must attend all scheduled live virtual sessions and actively engage in discussions, assignments, and feedback.
- Participants must review the presentation materials for each workshop session in advance and must arrive prepared with a minimum of one question per session to facilitate engagement and discussion.
- Failure to attend required sessions may result in disqualification from the Pitch Session and grant funding eligibility.
- This is a learning opportunity; participants will not receive financial compensation for attending.
IP & CONFIDENTIALITY
- Any information considered proprietary, confidential, or trade secret in your application, workshop discussions, or pitch session will not be shared outside of the Workshop. The Makers Mindset Workshop is otherwise not responsible for protecting or enforcing intellectual property rights.
- Participants retain full ownership of their business ideas and materials shared during the program.
- The Makers Mindset Workshop, Nancy Twine, and affiliated partners reserve the right to share general insights, testimonials, and success stories from the program for promotional and educational purposes.
GRANT PITCH SESSION
- Only participants who complete all eight (8) workshop sessions will be eligible to pitch.
- Judging Criteria: Pitches will be evaluated on innovation, scalability, clarity of vision, and business potential by a panel of three (3) industry experts.
- Winning businesses must use grant dollars only towards marketing, manufacturing, research & development.
- Grants will be disbursed as Expenditure Responsibility Grants.
- Grant recipients will be required to submit detailed applications and provide regular progress reports. These submissions may include, but are not limited to, outlines of the proposed project and budget. Reports must demonstrate that the funds are being utilized solely for the purposes intended, including itemized expenditures and measurable outcomes, in order to comply with the grantor’s legal monitoring requirements.
- Grant recipients are responsible for any applicable taxes on awarded funds.
MEDIA RELEASE
- By applying and/or participating, applicants grant Twine Media LLC permission to use their name, image, business name, and likeness in promotional materials, social media, press releases, and other marketing efforts related to Makers Mindset.
- The program reserves the right to highlight winners and participants across The Makers Mindset platform, including but not exclusive to social media platforms, websites, news publications, etc.
- Upon completion of the workshop, participants must provide a testimonial detailing their experience. This testimonial may be utilized by Twine Media LLC for marketing and promotional purposes.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
- Participation in The Makers Mindset Workshop is voluntary, and Twine Media LLC, The Makers Mindset team, Briogeo Hair Care, Ulta Beauty, Nancy Twine, instructors, and partners are not liable for any business outcomes resulting from participation in the program.
- The program organizers reserve the right to modify session schedules, instructor availability, or grant distribution if necessary, without prior notice to participants.
AGREEMENT TO TERMS
- You meet all eligibility requirements and understand that non-compliance may result in disqualification.
- You understand that participation is voluntary and does not guarantee grant funding or business success.
- You agree to the media release terms and allow Twine Media LLC, The Makers Mindset team, Briogeo Hair Care, Ulta Beauty, Nancy Twine, instructors, and partners to feature your participation in promotional content.
- You acknowledge that grant funds, if awarded, may be subject to taxation and reporting requirements.
